SCOPE OF WORK
The existing museum was looking to move to a new site under Grant Park. The proposed $155M, 5 year new construction museum evolved over the year and the development budget was eventually reduced to $120M. Project reviewed by board to include Mayor of Chicago.
There were four options to meet the budget that included: not building last bay, not fitting out all interior spaces, creating a smaller footprint or not building the expensive lower level below grade floor.
